Seeking a Principal-level Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Vertex AI and churn models for a 100% remote, contract role starting January 2027.
Project overview
For data products related to sales, customer retention, and customer value on Google Cloud, we are looking for experienced support starting January 2027 (earlier start possible), fully remote, initially until the end of June 2027.

- Translate business questions into ML use cases (affinities, churn, cancellation prevention)
- Explore and prepare data from customer data products
- Develop, train, and evaluate models
- Deploy and monitor models on GCP with Vertex AI
- Explain model results to business and technical stakeholders
- Strong Python and SQL
- Practical experience with churn or propensity models and feature engineering
- Vertex AI and MLOps on GCP
- Explainable and responsible AI
- Collaboration with analysts, data engineers, and data product teams
- Professional experience at Principal/Lead level
