Project overview

The assignment concerns the role of deputy head of the Generic IT & Infrastructure (GII) department of JIVC, which is undergoing a reorganization.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Filling the role of deputy head of GII
• Managing daily operations and translating operational issues into management decisions
• Guiding the reorganization and transfer of employees to new departments within IT Infra
• Monitoring the continuity of existing IT services during the change
• Aligning business operations aspects such as HR, Finance, and process design
• Leading highly educated senior IT/ICT professionals
• Implementing change processes in leadership, working methods, behavior, and culture within the organization
• Aligning the integral value chain of IT Infra with other JIVC departments and users
• WO work and thinking level, demonstrable through relevant education (business administration, public administration, management) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of work experience matching the eCF profile Business Information Manager
• Minimum 7 years of experience in guiding and further developing ICT employees
• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing highly educated IT/ICT professionals
• Minimum 5 years of experience with administrative issues in government and business organizations
• Minimum 5 years of experience with designing and implementing organizational changes and reorganizations
• Experience in a large organization (more than 10,000 FTE) with IT governance or change management
• Knowledge of and experience with cybersecurity
• Experience with setting up quality systems and KPIs
• Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant experience gained at the Ministry of Defence
