Job description

Experienced mechanical engineer needed for a hybrid role in Saxony, focusing on developing and optimizing innovative construction solutions.

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer (m/f/d) for our location in Saxony. The position is designed as hybrid and offers the opportunity to develop and implement innovative construction solutions.

Your tasks include the development and optimization of construction solutions in mechanical engineering. You will create and adapt CAD models, produce technical drawings, and maintain parts lists in ERP systems. You will optimize components using numerical methods such as FEM calculations and contribute to the improvement of design processes. You will coordinate cross-site projects between different teams and monitor the entire design process until handover to production.

Coordination with the production, purchasing, and quality assurance departments is also part of your responsibilities, as is the documentation of technical changes.

You have completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field. Sound knowledge of CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS or CATIA is required. Experience with numerical simulation methods (FEM) and ERP systems such as SAP for parts list management is a prerequisite. Knowledge of current standards and guidelines in the mechanical engineering environment as well as experience in cross-site collaboration and project coordination are advantageous.

Practical experience with AI applications to support design activities, as well as familiarity with technical change processes and their documentation, are also desirable.
