Mechanical / Shipbuilding Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced engineer in mechanical and shipbuilding for our Emden location. In this role, you will develop and realize technical solutions for equipment and systems and contribute significantly to the construction of assemblies in shipbuilding and valve technology.

Your tasks include the creation of technical drawings, parts lists, and comprehensive documentation using CAD systems. You will perform design calculations, define technical specifications for manufacturing and suppliers, and coordinate tests and approvals with internal and external partners. You will work closely with various interfaces and contribute to ensuring documentation quality.

For this position, you should have a completed degree or further training as a technician with a focus on design. You have practical experience in design and development in mechanical or shipbuilding engineering and are proficient in common CAD systems such as Siemens NX or CATIA V5. Knowledge of SAP PLM or comparable PDM systems is an advantage, as is experience in managing technical data and documentation. Good German language skills, both written and spoken, are required; basic English skills are desirable.
