• Certification -> ISTQB Foundation Level.
• Test Automation -> minimum three years of experience with test automation and agile test management tools.
• Tools (Client Requirement) -> several years of automation of REST interfaces (e.g., Bruno CLI) AND of user interfaces with Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium.
• Test Types -> System, end-to-end, and functional acceptance tests – analysis, design, implementation, execution, and reporting – in agile teams.
• Analytics -> analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Enablement Role -> enable business departments in efficient testing practices and drive knowledge transfer – the role makes others test-capable.
• Collaboration -> constructive exchange with business departments, BizDevOps Engineers, Architects, and Product Owners.
• Presence -> Bern area, predominantly remote with fixed team days on Tuesday and Thursday – not freely selectable.
• DevOps Environment -> Experience with Jenkins, OpenShift, Git/Bitbucket, and Docker is helpful.
• ISTQB Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE).
• Static code analysis with SonarQube.
• Scrum, SAFe, as well as Jira with Xray and Confluence.
• Practice-oriented use of AI coding assistants (cost efficiency, compliance, traceability).
• Testing of Kafka interfaces.
• Remote Policy -> On-site at the client 40-60% (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) / Home Office 40-60%, depending on project phase; remote work only allowed within Switzerland.
• Credit and criminal record extracts will be requested (residence Germany: SCHUFA report and police clearance certificate).

Description

For our end client in the Swiss transport and infrastructure sector, we are looking for a Professional ICT Test Manager with a focus on test automation as follows:

Background & Mandate:

The end client is standardizing the intervention and fault management process of its technical infrastructure across departments to simplify information flow in case of faults and increase system availability. This includes a web application based on an ESRI geographic information system that quickly detects faults and precisely locates them on the map.

The role is responsible for testing from specification through automation to acceptance – including system, end-to-end, and acceptance tests, regression tests, and CI/CD pipelines. Also part of the assignment: enabling business departments in efficient testing practices.
