• Web & Online Communication -> operational experience at a senior level, preferably in the Swiss context.
• Target Groups & Positioning -> Analysis of target groups and positioning of digital information offerings.
• AI Technologies (Client Requirement) -> profound knowledge of current AI technologies AND demonstrable implementation experience – not just overview knowledge.
• Architecture Recommendation -> develop substantiated recommendations on architecture, models, and applications.
• Data & Law -> Selection and integration of data sources, data quality requirements; content accuracy, data protection, and legal frameworks.
• Impact Measurement -> Define KPIs and prepare decision-ready information.
• Reputational Risks -> Identify and mitigate risks in the communication context, especially reputational risks.
• Independence (Client Requirement) -> independently lead conceptual preparatory work; challenge existing thought structures, even in heterogeneous stakeholder constellations.

• Search technologies and semantic search, including evaluation of classic vs. AI-supported approaches.
• Multilingual communication in administration.
• Remote Policy -> On-site at the client's 40-60% / Home Office 40-60%, depending on the project phase; remote work only allowed within Switzerland.
• Debt collection and criminal record extracts will be requested (residence Germany: SCHUFA report and police clearance certificate).

For our end client from the Swiss public sector, we are looking for a Senior Concept Lead for a solution-neutral study on the further development of search functionality as follows:

Background & Mandate:

The end client wants to ensure simple, uniform, and modern access to information and examine how search functionality for websites and web applications – including with artificial intelligence – can be sustainably further developed. The subject is a HERMES study, deliberately OPEN AND SOLUTION-NEUTRAL, based on the needs of the target groups.

Important for selection: Senior professional level with expertise in web and online communication and the ability to define a service vision – including independent thinking, conceptual depth, and profound knowledge of current AI technologies.
