• Professional level -> at least expert or senior professional level.
• BSI IT-Grundschutz (client requirement) -> several years of practical experience and in-depth knowledge AND application of BSI Standards 200-1, 200-2, and 200-3.
• ISO/IEC 27001 -> experience with ISO/IEC 27001 based on IT-Grundschutz.
• Location assessment -> demonstrable location assessments and GAP analyses in the BSI environment.
• ISMS -> establishment or further development of an Information Security Management System.
• Certification support -> support of organizations up to certification; management of complex security and certification projects.
• Evidence requirements -> very good knowledge of BSI documentation and evidence requirements.
• Reference proof (client requirement) -> concrete references from BSI CERTIFICATION PROJECTS in the CV – general BSI knowledge is not sufficient.
• Working method -> strategic and operational; communicate regulatory and technical requirements understandably; independent and structured.
• Leadership & Presence -> strong project management and communication skills; mostly on-site in the Bern area, no on-call duty.
• Languages -> very good German spoken and written; good English is an advantage.
• Transfer of a location assessment into a multi-year implementation program.
• Swiss information security regulations and their relationship to BSI-Grundschutz.
• Public-related organizations with governance and accountability requirements.
• Remote policy -> on-site at the client's 40-60% / Home Office 40-60%, depending on the project phase; remote work only allowed within Switzerland.
• Debt and criminal record extracts are required (residence Germany: SCHUFA information and police clearance certificate).

Description

For our end client from a public-related environment in Switzerland, we are looking for an Expert/Senior BSI IT-Grundschutz Consultant as follows:

Starting Situation & Mandate:

The end client aims for certification according to BSI IT-Grundschutz by 2028 and is seeking an experienced specialist for technical support and project management. In the first phase, the maturity and implementation status will be assessed, evaluated against BSI requirements (GAP analysis), and the maturity level and certification capability will be assessed.

Important for selection: Reliable BSI practical experience is required, not general information security experience – application of BSI Standards 200-1 to 200-3, ISO/IEC 27001 based on IT-Grundschutz, and demonstrable support up to certification. Specific BSI certification projects must be visible in the CV.
