Policy Advisor Agriculture & Nature (secondment)

Project overview

The assignment focuses on strengthening policy regarding the transition of agriculture, landscape, and nature within the municipality.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on and developing policy in the areas of landscape, sustainable agriculture, ecology, water, soil, nitrogen, and nature development
• Acting as the first point of contact, both internally and externally, for issues concerning the agricultural transition and landscape design
• Maintaining contact with agricultural entrepreneurs about their future plans, with attention to high polluters and pesticides
• Supporting colleagues in advising on spatial and policy plans for nature, landscape, and the agricultural transition
• Drafting views and positions regarding policies of higher authorities
• Identifying and analyzing developments affecting municipal policy
• Participating in administrative working groups at local, regional, and provincial levels
• Following national, provincial, and regional policies in the fields of agriculture, landscape, and nature
• Minimum HBO Bachelor's work and thinking level
• At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in the role of policy advisor for agriculture and nature
• Demonstrable experience gained within a government organization
• Strong administrative and political sensitivity
• Good advisory and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills
