PQC Security Architect Position at our client in the banking industry in Zurich.

Responsibilities

Your knowledge:

What distinguishes you:

• Conceptualize and structure a company-wide Cryptographic Inventory for applications, infrastructure, networks, and products
• Analyze the existing crypto landscape regarding PKI, TLS/mTLS, HSM/KMS, certificates, signatures, as well as network and API security
• Evaluate and set up discovery methods and tools, including CMDB, certificate inventories, code scanning, network scanning, as well as cloud and vendor data
• Assess the PQC readiness of libraries, operating systems, appliances, HSMs, cloud services, and products
• Develop pilot architectures, prototypes, and technical migration patterns for PQC and hybrid TLS use cases
• Identify dependencies, blockers, and technical risks, and derive guidelines and reference patterns for implementation
• Several years of experience as a Security or Crypto Architect in complex IT environments
• Deep expertise in PKI, TLS/mTLS, HSM/KMS, certificate management, signatures, as well as network and API security
• Experience in designing crypto and key management architectures, as well as in the technical analysis of infrastructure, application, and cloud use cases
• Demonstrable ability to implement a Cryptographic Inventory and a PQC readiness assessment methodically and technically
• Advantageous: practical experience with Post-Quantum Cryptography, hybrid TLS/PKI pilots, or PQC evaluations in regulated environments
• Language skills: German, English
• Analytical and structured approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and solution orientation
