Project Manager Controlled & Reliable Application Landscape (Interim)

Project overview

As project manager, you will lead the transition of the HDSR application landscape to a controlled and reliable hybrid cloud environment.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Analyze and prioritize applications for the transition waves using the 6R method
• Guide the transition to SaaS or Azure solutions based on the cloud strategy
• Phase out the VDI Horizon platform by migrating applications to the modern workplace
• Lead the further realization of components of the target architecture, such as the Azure landing zone and CI/CD pipelines
• Test applications for compliance with laws and regulations such as BIO2, AVG, and the AI Act
• Improve supplier and change management processes
• Establish application lifecycle processes for registering and deregistering applications
• Coordinate the phasing out of approximately 80 applications
• Guide the training program for functional administrators
• Identify opportunities for application rationalization and guide decision-making on this
• Manage software licenses for applications
• Design governance roles within the i-portfolio and development process
• Ensure knowledge of transition and lifecycle management processes within the organization
• Prepare a Project Initiation Document and submit it to the steering group
• Report on progress, risks, and milestones to the i-Portfolio Board and the steering group
• Coordinate collaboration between business, information management, architecture, and suppliers
• At least 5 years of experience, gained in the last 10 years, in a role as project manager, transition manager, or a similar role within an IV/IT environment
• A certificate in project management, for example PRINCE2, IPMA, or PMI
• Practical experience within IV/IT domains and with IT management processes
• Practical experience with IT workplaces and/or Modern Workplace environments
• Work experience with relevant laws and regulations within IV/IT, such as BIO, NIS2, and AVG
• Availability by December 1, 2026, at the latest, for at least 32 hours per week for the entire assignment period
• Work experience with transitions of application landscapes to a hybrid cloud architecture is a plus
• At least 8 years of work experience as a project manager or transition manager within IV/IT environments is a plus
• Work experience within a water board, government organization, or similar administrative environment is a plus
• Excellent communication and advisory skills
• Organizational sensitivity and persuasiveness
• Results-oriented, pragmatic, and independent work attitude
