Project Manager - Plant Construction

Project overview

As Project Manager Plant Construction / Senior Project Manager, you will take over the management of an ongoing new construction of a waste-to-energy plant in Brandenburg starting April 2027. The plant is partly in the planning phase, while initial construction and realization work is already underway. The focus is on coordinating engineering, disciplines, and the construction site, as well as managing deadlines, costs, quality, and project progress over a project duration of approximately three years.

Responsibilities

Take over the existing project management for the new construction of a waste-to-energy plant. Manage and coordinate the overall project through engineering, planning, construction, and realization. Coordinate the involved disciplines, project partners, planners, suppliers, contractors, and executing companies. Coordinate technical and organizational project requirements as well as the interfaces between engineering and the construction site. Monitor deadlines, costs, quality, and project progress, as well as assess deviations and initiate appropriate countermeasures.

Conduct and moderate project and coordination meetings, and follow up on open points, decisions, and actions. Support with technical and commercial issues. Create reporting for clients and the project organization. Ensure structured project execution until completion.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Technology, Plant Construction, Civil Engineering, or comparable technical qualification. Several years of professional experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Overall Project Manager in plant construction. Experience with technically complex large-scale projects. Ideally, project experience in the field of waste-to-energy plants / waste incineration plants / Waste-to-Energy. Alternatively, sound experience in power plant construction, energy plant construction, thermal plant construction, or process engineering plant construction.

Experience in coordinating engineering and construction site activities. Confident handling of deadline, cost, and quality control. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to quickly take over an ongoing project and continue it in a structured manner. Fluent German (written and spoken). Good English skills are an advantage.
