Project Manager Voice Core / Telecommunications

Project overview

For a strategic transformation project in the telecommunications environment, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager (m/f/d). As part of the project, a new voice core platform for business customers will be introduced.

You will be responsible for the engineering workstream related to the implementation of new voice services and will oversee the technical migration from the existing to the new platform.

Responsibilities

• Project management of the engineering workstream for the introduction and implementation of voice services on a new voice core platform
• Functional management and coordination of a team of service development specialists as well as internal and external project partners
• Responsibility for the development, testing, and functional acceptance of new voice services
• Conception and definition of new service profiles for business customer products
• Derivation and handover of technical or functional requirements to the connected OSS systems
• Control and support of the development of provisioning and automation workflows
• Functional acceptance of the implemented provisioning processes
• Conception, planning, and control of the migration of business customers from the existing platform to the new voice core platform
• Coordination of interfaces between engineering, IT/OSS, system suppliers, voice interconnection, and other project streams
• Ensuring smooth collaboration between technical teams, project partners, and relevant stakeholders
• Control and monitoring of project progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and open points
• Regular reporting and communication with relevant stakeholders up to the C-level

Requirements

What Awaits You

• At least 5 years of experience in project management of complex technical or engineering projects
• Demonstrable project experience in the telecommunications environment
• Experience in managing internal and external service providers, suppliers, and project partners
• Experience in integrating new technical systems into existing system and process landscapes
• Ability to analyze the impact of new systems on existing processes and derive necessary adaptation requirements
• Experience in managing complex technical migrations is an advantage
• Good understanding of technical interfaces and dependencies between different systems and departments
• Knowledge in the area of Voice / VoIP / Voice Core, OSS, provisioning, or service development is an advantage
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Confident stakeholder management at various hierarchical levels up to C-level
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
• Participation in a strategically relevant transformation project in the telecommunications environment
• Responsibility for a central technical workstream
• Collaboration with experienced specialists from engineering, IT/OSS, and voice
• Demanding interface function between technology, project management, service providers, and management
