Project overview

Introduction:

As part of the IT transformation ATLAS, a cross-system HR platform landscape is being modernized. The overarching mandate is to ensure ATLAS go-live readiness from a testing perspective: from holistic planning and transparent control of all test activities to establishing sustainable regression testing capability for the later operational organization.

Responsibilities

Setup & Conception

• Overall responsibility (Accountable) for the ATLAS-wide test management approach and its operational control (Responsible).
• Definition and establishment of a comprehensive test concept across all test levels (including System Integration Test / SIT, User Acceptance Test / UAT, End-to-End, Performance/Security).
• Definition of test scope, test organization, entry/exit criteria, and quality gates per test phase.
• Evaluation, selection, and introduction of pragmatic test management and defect tracking tools (as tools are currently unoccupied/undefined).
• Test Environment & Test Data Management
• Cross-system conception and coordination of test environments and test data.
• Detailed planning and active management of critical interface and data dependencies between the individual systems involved (especially core systems like Workday and ServiceNow).
• Operational Test Control & Quality Assurance
• Technical control of cross-functional test teams across different organizational units (including system testers, business experts, and UAT testers).
• Continuous control of test runs, defect management, and quality risks.
• Creation of transparent status reports (KPI dashboards, defect trends, quality risks) and regular reporting to steering committees, project groups, and system owners.
• Preparation of decision proposals and recommendation of the final test release to the responsible owners.
• Post Go-Live & Operations Transition
• Creation of a sustainable regression test concept and definition of reusable test case collections.
• Structured handover of test artifacts and processes to the future operational organization.

Requirements

Many years of experience in test management: Demonstrable success in the conception and operational leadership of test organizations in complex IT transformations with multiple integrated systems.

Setup experience (first-time setup): Ability to set up test management frameworks, processes, and roles on a "green field" basis without existing templates.

Experience with complex system landscapes: Deep understanding of orchestrating test data flows and environment dependencies in distributed architectures.

Cross-functional leadership & stakeholder management: Strong assertiveness, proactive working style, and diplomatic skill in managing heterogeneous groups (business departments, IT, external service providers).

Language skills: Fluent German (C1/C2) spoken and written (central for communication with business departments and committees).
