SAN Technical Expert – 100% remote – ASAP

Project overview

Keil Business Solutions GmbH is an innovative Google Reseller and IT service provider.

For a customer project, we are currently looking for a SAN Technical Expert – remote – ASAP.

Task

· Analysis and evaluation of the existing enterprise block storage, SAN, and Oracle Exadata environment

· Evaluation of capacities, utilization, redundancy, licensing, and support and contract models

· Creation of a transparent TCO analysis and identification of optimization potential

· Analysis of existing HA, replication, backup, and recovery architectures

· Development of a service class and sizing model regarding availability, performance, and workloads

· Evaluation of storage tiering, capacity management, and Fibre Channel vs. Ethernet

· Evaluation of alternative database platforms and cost-effective architecture models

· Development of business cases and presentation of results at management level

Skills

· Sound experience with enterprise block storage and SAN architectures

· Very good knowledge of Oracle Exadata and alternative database platforms

· Experience with Oracle licensing and support models

· Sound knowledge of high availability, replication, backup, and recovery

· Experience with infrastructure TCO modelling and business case development

· Experience in a regulated banking/financial services environment

· Strong communication skills at management level
