The projects within the SAP-focused maintenance area cover the following: The contractor's services are needed for specific maintenance procedures with integrated vehicle master data documentation at a large corporation in the railway sector. This involves carrying out development activities for SAP solutions in the professional domain of Maintenance Rolling Stock (maintenance of rail vehicles and components) for various internal clients of the contracting party.

These IT project services essentially consist of defining and designing functional application architectures in the professional domain, as well as maintaining, (further) developing, and integrating SAP solutions in this area.

• Analysis of current systems, applications, and architectures, as well as professional evaluation of their suitability regarding defined target architecture specifications
• Programming / implementation / customizing of technical components in applications based on the technologies used, including associated interfaces, modules, and corresponding databases, while adhering to client standards (e.g., use of standardized development environments and programming guidelines)
• Participation in the planning, design, and implementation of software projects; writing clean, efficient, and fully documented code using appropriate software development practices and standards
• Fixing bugs from test phases in applications / components
• Documentation of technical designs and creation of system documentation
• Creation of delivery packages for the relevant applications
• Reviewing technical solutions for future viability
• Conception and development of user-centric web applications based on cloud technologies
• Conception of functional interfaces between applications and processes
• Transferring design concepts into development for the implementation of prototypes, as well as consulting on technical aspects of implementation
• Creation of database structures and establishment of interfaces between databases and systems as a basis for documentation and decision-making
• Testing and debugging of software applications to ensure they meet specified quality standards
• Creation of technical documentation for the development process, as well as an operations and development manual
• Participation in relevant professional meetings and providing regular updates to project managers and relevant project team members
• Participation in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to other developers
• Very good knowledge of the SAP system landscape, especially in the area of maintenance for rail vehicles at a railway undertaking (min. 3 years)
• Very good knowledge in development with SAP ABAP and ABAP OO (min. 3 years)
• Current knowledge in SAP interface technologies & connections, especially regarding the AAR interface (3 references)
• Very good practical experience in SAP modules MM, PM, and possibly other adjacent modules (min. 3 years)
• Practical experience in vehicle master data documentation (min. 3 years)
• S4/HANA experience (up to 3 years)
• Practical experience in documenting technical designs (min. 3 years)
• Mobile SAP development (up to 3 years)
• Experience in establishing and using quality assurance processes and procedures (2 references)
• Knowledge in bug fixing (min. 3 years)
• Work as a developer in an agile project environment (min. 3 years)
