SAP Enterprise Architect – SAP SuccessFactors / SAP HCM for S/4HANA

Project overview

For an extensive SAP transformation project, we are looking for an experienced SAP Enterprise Architect (m/f/d) with in-depth knowledge of SAP HCM for S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors.

The focus is on the design and further development of a scalable system architecture and the integration of various SAP SuccessFactors modules into an existing, complex IT system landscape. The emphasis is on system architecture, interface integration, data migration, and technical security requirements.

Responsibilities

System and Integration Architecture

Design and further development of a scalable and future-proof system and architecture design, considering data protection, IT security, and compliance.

Support in the implementation of a cross-functional enterprise architecture with SAP HCM for S/4HANA as the leading master data system and SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management.

Integration of the SAP SuccessFactors modules Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, Performance & Goals, Succession, and Development into the existing IT landscape.

Conducting architecture reviews and ensuring compliance with technical and organizational architecture specifications.

Development of architecture principles, target states, technical roadmaps, and decision proposals.

Integration and Migration

Design and development of the interface architecture between SAP systems and third-party systems.

Support in the configuration of APIs, middleware, and integration platforms.

Definition of migration interfaces, transformation logic, and migration paths.

Development of migration scenarios, including delta and parallel operation, as well as rollback strategies.

Planning of technical deployment phases for SAP SuccessFactors modules, incorporating SAP BTP components.

Identity & Access Management

Integration of SAP SuccessFactors into existing identity and access management systems.

Support in the design of Single Sign-On (SSO) and user provisioning via SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS).

Analysis and definition of technical authorization risks.

Ensuring the maintainability, scalability, and release capability of the SAP SuccessFactors solution.

Consideration of data protection, data retention, and cloud security requirements.

Testing, Quality Assurance, and Collaboration

Architecture-related quality assurance within the scope of test management, test execution, and error analysis.

Ensuring data integrity between SAP SuccessFactors and SAP HCM for S/4HANA.

Close collaboration with implementation partners, HR, IT, data protection, and other relevant stakeholders.

Technical point of contact for project management as well as functional and technical project teams.

Preparation, execution, and documentation of technical workshops and support in decision-making.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge in system and architecture design of complex SAP IT system landscapes, especially SAP HCM and adjacent systems.

In-depth knowledge and practical experience in the architecture of SAP HCM for S/4HANA.

At least 3 years of experience in SAP implementation or transformation projects within complex enterprise IT landscapes.

Experience in the design and integration of complex SAP system architectures.

Nice to have

Several years of experience as an Enterprise Architect in SAP environments.

Experience with large SAP transformation projects in the public sector or comparably complex organizations.

In-depth knowledge of authorization structures in SAP HCM, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SuccessFactors.

Knowledge of modern interface technologies such as REST and OData APIs.

Experience with SAP BTP, SAP CPI, and other integration platforms.

Knowledge in data architecture, data modeling, master data management, and data governance.

Experience with SAP HCM Organizational Management (OM) and Personnel Administration (PA).

Basic knowledge of data models and business processes of relevant SAP SuccessFactors modules.

Knowledge in the area of Identity & Access Management, especially SAP IAS/IPS.
