Project overview

For an international company in the media and entertainment industry, DIE TECHNOLOGEN IT & ENGINEERING GmbH is looking for a freelance SAP P2P Functional Consultant.

As part of an international integration project, you will support the implementation of an existing blueprint for accounts payable, invoice processing, and payment processes. You will independently take on operational work packages, optimize the interaction between SAP FI and MM, and oversee the introduction of e-invoicing processes. The focus is on practical functional implementation; ABAP programming is not part of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of the existing blueprint for SAP FI-AP and adjacent P2P processes, especially for invoices with and without purchase order reference, as well as payment processing and payment runs.
• Analysis and optimization of existing invoice and payment processes in the interaction of SAP FI and MM, considering the SAP standard.
• Support for the introduction and integration of e-invoicing processes, including clarification of functional requirements, error analysis, and coordination of error resolution.
• Functional specification and support of interfaces to upstream systems, including process integration, testing, and validation.
• Independent processing and coordination of work packages with business departments and IT, as well as creation of process documentation and user manuals, and support with change activities.

Job facts: Direct client project

• Profound functional knowledge in SAP FI-AP and integration with SAP MM, especially in processing invoices with purchase order reference and those entered directly in FI, as well as in payment processes.
• Many years of SAP project experience, ideally at least eight to ten years, with practical implementation of P2P processes and existing blueprints.
• Practical experience with e-invoicing and the associated functional requirements, as well as a good understanding of SAP interfaces.
• Strong hands-on mentality: you analyze process gaps, solve functional problems, and implement work packages independently and in close coordination with the project team.
• Fluent English skills for international collaboration; German language skills are welcome but not required.
• Start: 01.12.2026, earlier by arrangement.
• Duration: initially twelve months with an option to extend.
• Utilization: 40 hours per week; planned project volume approx. 1,700–1,900 hours.
• Location: predominantly remote with regular on-site appointments in Berlin; occasional travel, for example to London or the USA, is possible by arrangement.
• Collaboration with an international team, often within the time window between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM German time.
