SAP S/4HANA Migration Coordination – Focus CS, Shipping & AEB next

Project overview

Initial Situation:

Our client in plant and mechanical engineering is in the midst of an S/4HANA migration with a planned go-live on October 1, 2027. Due to personnel bottlenecks in the SAP team, an external specialist is sought for functional coordination between the business departments (SD or CS) and external consultants.

The focus is on AEB, Shipping, and CS, as well as supporting the Order-to-Cash and Service-to-Close processes, including SAP GTS.

The role includes functional steering and coordination within the scope of the S/4HANA migration and AEB implementation. Operational customizing, development, and project management are not part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Framework Data:

• Coordination of alignments between the business departments (SD or CS) and external consultants
• Functional steering and coordination of external consultants
• Functional support of the ongoing S/4HANA migration (go-live October 1, 2027)
• Functional support of the AEB implementation
• Focused support and coordination of AEB, Shipping, and CS topics
• Support of Order-to-Cash and Service-to-Close processes in the SAP SD/CS/Logistics area, including SAP GTS
• Supportive participation in the creation of functional concepts, error analysis, system administration, and training
• Participation in regular coordination meetings
• Start date: December 1, 2026, or possibly January 1, 2027
• Duration: 12–15 months
• Utilization: 2–3 days per week (104–195 days total)
• Location: Hybrid deployment with predominantly remote work. A presence day per week in the NRW region is desirable, if possible.
• Project language: German / English

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and experience in S/4HANA migration
• Sound knowledge of AEB nXt
• Knowledge of SAP customizing
• Experience with SAP CS, SD, and GTS
