Scheduler – Shutdown Planning

Project overview

For two shutdown projects in the refinery environment, we are each looking for an experienced freelance scheduler.

The focus is on the creation, review, and control of shutdown schedules, as well as the coordination of work packages with the involved departments and external companies.

Locations: Zeitz or Leuna

Responsibilities

Setup, review, maintenance, and control of the shutdown schedule in MS Project or Roser (Schedule-IT)

Review of work packages created by work preparation regarding workflows, materials, and time planning

Adjustment and optimization of work packages in the planning system

Linking of work packages, considering durations, resources, and dependencies

Coordination with operations, maintenance, work preparation, and executing external companies

Identification, monitoring, and control of the critical path

Daily progress tracking, target-actual comparisons, and incorporation of additional work

Creation of schedule and progress reports, look-ahead plans, and S-curves

Ongoing documentation and reporting to shutdown management

Requirements

Sound experience in the scheduling of plant or refinery shutdowns

Proficient use of MS Project and/or Roser (Schedule-IT), depending on the specific project assignment

Experience in reviewing and linking work packages from work preparation

Understanding of technical workflows, resource planning, and time dependencies

Experience in progress control and reporting

Fluent German language skills

Willingness for full-time on-site employment

Position 1 – Zeitz

Project environment: Refinery shutdown

4 - 6 months with an option to extend

Full-time, at least 40 hours per week

Type of employment: 100% on-site

Position 2 – Leuna

Project environment: Refinery shutdown at Total

As soon as possible, planned from 02.11.2026

6 months with an option to extend
