HMRC Customer Compliance Group (CCG) has requested that Capgemini provide a team of specialists to support the successful delivery of the Compliance Transformation Portfolio. A key component of this work is the evaluation and optimisation of reporting and management information (MI) processes to improve operational efficiency, enhance data quality, increase standardisation, and accelerate automation, leveraging agentic AI solutions where they can deliver measurable value.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to shape and deliver an AI-enabled proof of concept (PoC) within a complex enterprise environment. The individual will be responsible for taking the proposition from concept through to pilot deployment, working across business and technology delivery teams to rapidly identify and prioritise use cases, validate value, and establish a clear Pathway from proof of concept to scalable product.

This is a high-profile, outcome-critical engagement expected to run for 3-6 months, where the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the proposition, driving delivery, securing stakeholder buy-in and ultimately determining the success of the PoC and its transition into a viable product for broader organisational adoption.

This is a hands-on role requiring the successful candidate to combine product leadership with direct involvement in discovery, requirements definition, prioritisation, stakeholder engagement and day-to-day delivery activities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of emerging technologies, AI-enabled solutions, and their practical application within complex organisations. They will play a key role in navigating technology governance processes and securing approvals at critical decision points.

Key responsibilities

Identify, assess and prioritise high-value AI use cases aligned to business objectives

Validate business value through stakeholder engagement, user research and iterative testing

Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap and success measures

Translate business needs into prioritised product requirements and actionable delivery plans
