Senior Avaloq Parametrist with Java Backend

Project overview

For an established financial institution in the Swiss banking sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Avaloq Parametrist with Java backend knowledge. You will be part of an agile team that develops and operates the Core Banking Platform in the area of investments and pensions.

Your main tasks include the parametrization of portfolio management functions and master data extensions within the Avaloq Banking Platform, the design and development of event streaming interfaces, and the support and further development of Java-based software components. You will participate in an extensive refactoring in the area of investment proposals and support the connection to a new central event streaming integration platform based on Kafka.

The project offers the rare opportunity to implement modern integration work on the core banking platform – not just pure parametrization tasks. You will work in a DevOps environment according to SAFe and Scrum within a large Agile Release Train.

We are looking for a person with at least five years of experience as an Avaloq Parametrist and several years of Java development experience in the same person. Your willingness to take on operational tasks, including operational support and troubleshooting, is essential. Experience with agile development methods is a prerequisite. Expertise in the investment business is not required – interest in the topic is sufficient.

The project is already in the implementation phase; you will join an ongoing project.
