We are looking for a senior backend developer with deep technical expertise in streaming for an exciting assignment with a leading player in media and digital services.
You will be part of a team responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing a large-scale streaming platform used by millions of users. The role combines backend development, video streaming, cloud infrastructure, and troubleshooting of distributed systems with high demands on performance, stability, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the streaming platform.
- Work with streaming solutions for live and Video on Demand (VOD).
- Troubleshoot and optimize distributed systems and streaming flows.
- Work with deployment and optimization of applications in a cloud environment.
- Improve performance, latency, buffering, and playback quality.
- Collaborate with other technical teams and contribute to innovation and improved ways of working.

Required Competencies
- Senior experience in backend development in Go, TypeScript, and/or Python.
- Experience with streaming services in video or music, preferably live or VOD.
- Knowledge of HTTP Streaming, such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, and CMAF.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with troubleshooting and optimization of distributed systems under high load.
- Knowledge of video encoding and tools like ffmpeg, H.264/H.265, VP9, and AV1.
- Understanding of streaming pipelines, ingest, transcoding, packaging, origin, and CDN.
- Knowledge of DRM systems like Widevine, FairPlay, and PlayReady.
- Familiarity with Shaka Player, hls.js, or native players for iOS/Android.
- Experience with AI-assisted development using tools like Claude Code or Codex.
