Senior Enterprise Architect – Core Banking Transformation

Project overview

For a leading financial institution in Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect with in-depth knowledge of core banking system transformations.

As part of a strategic transformation program, existing core banking systems will be consolidated and future-proof architecture and integration solutions will be developed. You will significantly shape the future IT landscape and work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, and Delivery teams.

Your responsibilities include developing and designing the strategic application architecture for core banking systems, creating an overarching target and reference architecture for relevant business domains, and analyzing and critically questioning requirements. You will conceptualize a transformation roadmap with critical path, dependencies, and milestones, advise on the consolidation of existing platforms, and support tender and vendor selection processes. Furthermore, you will ensure consistent architecture across different business areas and integration interfaces.

We expect at least 12 years of relevant professional experience, including several years as an Enterprise or Domain Architect in complex IT landscapes. Proven architecture and transformation experience in the core banking environment is required, particularly in account management, securities, payment transactions, and settlement. Practical experience with core banking transformations across all project phases is necessary. In-depth knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Capability-Based Modelling, agile methodologies, and established integration patterns complete the profile.
