Senior Enterprise Architect – Core Banking Transformation

Description

For our client, a leading company in the Swiss banking sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect / Domain Architect with in-depth knowledge of core banking system transformation and consolidation.

As part of a strategic transformation program, existing core banking systems will be consolidated and future-proof architecture and integration solutions will be developed. The focus is on defining a bank-wide target architecture, preparing and supporting tender processes (RfP), and developing a sustainable transformation roadmap.

You will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, and the delivery teams, significantly shaping the future IT landscape.

• Development and design of the strategic application architecture for core banking systems and adjacent applications in line with the IT and corporate strategy.
• Development of an overarching target and reference architecture for all relevant business domains.
• Analysis, structuring, and critical questioning of business and technical requirements.
• Conception of a transformation roadmap including critical path, dependencies, milestones, and defined exit points.
• Architectural consulting for the consolidation of existing core banking platforms and the integration of various banking applications.
• Preparation and support of tender and vendor selection processes (RfP), including technical evaluation and plausibility checks of costs.
• Ensuring consistent architecture across different business areas, applications, and integration interfaces.
• Close collaboration with business departments, IT architects, program managers, and implementation teams.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, including several years of in-depth experience as an Enterprise Architect or Domain Architect in complex IT landscapes.
• Proven architecture and transformation experience in the core banking environment, particularly in the areas of account management, securities, payment transactions, billing, settlement, and financing.
• Practical experience with core banking transformations involving different products and across all project phases.
• In-depth knowledge of modern architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and experience with Capability-Based Modelling.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe, as well as a solid understanding of established integration patterns.
• Broad technical and business expertise in banking applications, IT solutions, and reference architectures.
