• Further development and maintenance of an Angular-22 web application with Standalone Components and signal-based state management
• Implementation of data-driven analysis views (time series, maps, tables, image schedules) based on a generic KPI framework with GraphQL connection
• Further development of WebGL-based map visualization (Deck.gl) infrastructures and transport movements
• Development of editor interfaces for various data objects (schedules, infrastructure, master data, model parameters)
• Development and maintenance of reusable UI components (project-internal component library) based on a company-wide design system
• Connection of REST and GraphQL interfaces as well as Protobuf-based data communication
• Reduction of technical debt: resolution of architectural violations, migration from Leaflet to Deck.gl, increase in test coverage
• Conception and execution of automated quality assurance measures (unit tests, E2E tests)
• Development and maintenance of REST endpoints of the Python backend (FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy) including database schema migrations (Alembic, PostgreSQL)
• Extension of a GraphQL API (Ariadne) for the analysis of large result datasets via a column-oriented analysis database (Athena/Parquet)
• Further development of serverless data pipelines (AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, S3, Glue) for import, ETL, and simulation runs
• End-to-end implementation of features across frontend, API, and pipeline (one merge request per E2E feature)

Requirements

• Proven senior experience in Angular development: professional frontend development, primarily with Angular, including a leading role in module and component interfaces and state management strategy
• Minimum 5 years
• Experience in the architectural evolution of established applications across frontend and backend: module and component interfaces, dependency directions, and layer boundaries, resolution of existing architectural violations
• Practical experience with agent-based, AI-supported software development (agent mode, not just code auto-completion) using tools like Kiro, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode
• Minimum 2 references
• Python Web APIs: FastAPI with Pydantic and relational data storage via SQLAlchemy including schema migrations
• Experience in the development and implementation of algorithms for railway freight transport planning
• Experience with WebGL-based map and geodata visualization of large, dynamic datasets and interactive editing of map objects (selection, moving, editing geometries and attributes)
• with Deck.gl, MapLibre, Three.js
• Experience with complex, performant table representations of large datasets using AG Grid
• Experience in developing complex, interactive editor and form interfaces for structured data objects (dynamic forms, validation, dirty/undo handling, conflict resolution during simultaneous editing)
• Experience with the performant display of large datasets using the charting library Plotly.js, especially time series and interactive charts
• Proven depth in developing productive Python web services with FastAPI (or comparable): authentication and role/permission-based authorization (OIDC/JWT, API Keys), versioned schema migrations on a running relational database
• Experience in implementing UI based on a design system with Figma
• including working with design tokens/variables and the integration of design and code (e.g., Figma Code Connect)
