Seeking a Senior GIS Consultant with expertise in QGIS and Open Source GIS solutions for a part-time, remote role starting January 1, 2027. The consultant will advise on QGIS implementation, manage projects, and support the project team.

- Advising the client, particularly on:
- - Advantages of QGIS from a Make or Buy perspective
- - Advantages of QGIS compared to WebGIS solutions
- - Feasibility of functional requirements
- - Cost estimation for QGIS compared to alternative solutions
- Management-level presentation of solution alternatives
- Description of a functional and technical architecture for the target solution
- Supporting the project manager in the technical management of the project team
- (Remote) participation in project appointments and relevant meetings; especially at events according to the SCRUM process
- Technical coordination with project managers, business unit employees, and other developers to ensure timely and successful implementation of requirements
Requirements
- Knowledge of QGIS and geodata infrastructures
- Minimum 5 years
- Experience in applying open-source solutions in WebGIS and Desktop GIS areas
- Experience in the technical management of QGIS projects with at least 3 developers
- 5 references
- Experience in the technical management of projects in the transport and logistics sector
- Certification ISO/IEC 27001
- Presentation and moderation skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- University degree with a geo-related focus
- Experience with geodatabases (PostGIS, GeoPackage, etc.)
- Experience with data management and quality assurance
- Experience in agile projects or the SCRUM method
