Senior IAM Engineer / Security Operations Manager

Project overview

For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior IAM Engineer / Security Operations Manager (m/f/d) to participate in a project.

Responsibilities

• You will be part of a team responsible for Identity & Access Management for approximately 80,000 enterprise identities: We operate and develop a modern cloud infrastructure in SAP and non-SAP environments, using Omada Identity Cloud for identity, governance, identity management, and provisioning.
• You combine engineering and operations with an understanding of architecture and security: You ensure stable platform operation, actively contribute to the further development of our IAM/IAG landscape, and question existing processes – deriving sustainable improvements from operational and support knowledge and developing viable solutions together with business departments, architecture, suppliers, and internal customers.
• You handle incidents and support requests and advise internal IT and business customers.
• You ensure the stable operation and continuous development of the Omada IAM/IAG platform, particularly in the areas of provisioning and account management.
• You analyze operational, support, and incident data, deriving and implementing sustainable error corrections, automations, and process improvements.
• You analyze, design, and implement technical integrations, interfaces, connectors, and API connections.
• You evaluate and design future IAM/IAG components – for example, in the areas of provisioning & access management or compliance – and integrate them architecturally.
• You help shape security standards and best practices and anchor them, especially the principles of Zero Trust and Least Privilege.
• You gather and prioritize requirements together with the business departments, create specifications, and accompany the implementation up to productive rollout.
• You work closely with Product Owners, architecture, suppliers, and customers, and provide support and coaching to less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in a comparable role in a complex Identity & Access Management (IAM) environment.
• Sound understanding of authorization management, role models, identity governance, and IAM security principles.
• Experience in operating and further developing business-critical platforms, as well as in the structured handling of incidents and support cases.
• The ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business contexts, communicate them appropriately to the audience, and develop solutions together with various stakeholders.
• Independent, solution-oriented way of working and enjoyment in critically examining existing approaches and implementing concrete improvements.
• Very good German language skills and the ability to communicate in English in daily work.
• Experience with IAM platforms (e.g., Omada, SailPoint, One Identity, Microsoft Identity Manager, or comparable solutions).
• Experience in integrating directory services and target systems (e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, SAP, or comparable systems).
• Practice in automation, scripting, and technical integrations, for example with PowerShell, REST APIs, and SQL.
• Experience with Privileged Access Management, Cloud Governance, or the implementation of Zero Trust and Least Privilege principles.
