Project overview

A company in mechanical and plant engineering wants to set up its IT projects according to a uniform, internal standard in the future. An experienced project manager is sought who will develop the methodology together with the team, introduce it, and hand it over in such a way that it will be lived internally on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Conception and introduction of a project methodology for IT projects, from the project order to handover to operations
• Development of a template set, including requirements specification (lastenheft) and detailed design specification (pflichtenheft), RFI/RFP, project order, and acceptance documentation
• Definition of roles, responsibilities, and approval steps between departments, IT, and external partners
• Integration into existing PM and governance structures
• Training and coaching of internal project managers
• Documentation and handover so that the standard can be continued without external support

Requirements

• Several years of experience in IT project management with a focus on project processes, ideally 5 years or more
• Practical experience with requirements specifications (lastenheft) and detailed design specifications (pflichtenheft) as well as IT tendering and selection procedures
• Experience in introducing PM standards in organizations (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, V-Modell)
• Proficient in classic, agile, and hybrid methods
• Desirable: Background in manufacturing companies, e.g., from ERP, MES, or PLM projects
• Very good German language skills
