Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Network Administrator (m/f/d) to support a project, starting immediately.

Background

The client operates a nationwide network landscape for a large number of administrative, production, and logistics sites. The responsible infrastructure team ensures the stable and secure operation of the LAN and WLAN environment and continuously develops the existing network architecture.

The focus of the role is on the administration, optimization, and further development of modern enterprise networks, as well as technical support for infrastructure projects in a complex multi-site environment. In addition to operational support, the tasks include the implementation of security and segmentation concepts, the execution of rollouts, and support for strategic network initiatives and technology introductions.

Responsibilities

• Operation, administration, and further development of the network infrastructure in an enterprise environment
• Planning and implementation of network (LAN) and WLAN solutions for various locations
• Ensuring stable and high-performance network operation
• Analysis, troubleshooting, and sustainable optimization of complex network disturbances
• Support for infrastructure projects and the introduction of new network technologies
• Planning and support of changes, migrations, and rollouts
• Further development of security and segmentation concepts in the network environment
• Monitoring, performance analysis, and continuous optimization of the network landscape
• Collaboration with internal departments and external service providers
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operating concepts

• Several years of professional experience as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or in a comparable role
• Sound knowledge in the design, operation, and administration of enterprise networks
• Experience in the Cisco environment, particularly in the areas of routing, switching, and wireless LAN
• Very good knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
• Experience with network segmentation and modern network security concepts
• Knowledge of common routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
• Experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
• Confident use of network analysis and diagnostic tools
• Experience in infrastructure projects and rollout scenarios is an advantage
• Structured, self-reliant, and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
