Contract assignment in Södertälje for a senior developer to build, integrate and test advanced robotic systems with embedded software, computer vision/image processing (object/person detection, depth sensing), and autonomous functions in a Linux/Git environment. The role requires strong Python and C++ plus Java, hands-on embedded systems experience, robotics fundamentals (coordinate systems, kinematics, sensors, motion control), system and software testing, and troubleshooting across software/hardware/communications.
Experience in safety-critical/regulated development with verification/validation and risk assessment is required, along with English and Swedish proficiency and ability to coordinate technical priorities and occasionally lead a technical team.
Responsibilities
- Develop software in Python, C++ and Java.
- Work with Linux-based development environments and Git.
- Develop and integrate computer-vision solutions using cameras, image processing, object detection, person detection and depth sensing.
- Apply robotics fundamentals, including coordinate systems, kinematics, sensors, motion control and system integration.
- Develop and execute software and system tests.
- Troubleshoot complex software, hardware and communication problems.
- Coordinate development activities, manage technical priorities and deliver project milestones.
- Work with embedded systems and support integration between hardware and software.
- Contribute to safety engineering, risk assessment, verification and validation.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers and project stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate a technical team when required.
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
