Job description
Seeking a Senior SAN & Oracle Exadata Architect to analyze and optimize existing enterprise storage, SAN, and Oracle Exadata landscapes, focusing on cost, availability, and modernization.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of the existing enterprise storage, SAN, and Oracle Exadata landscape regarding capacity, availability, redundancy, and operating costs
- Creation of a TCO analysis including assessment of license, support, and infrastructure costs
- Evaluation and optimization of backup, recovery, replication, and high availability concepts
- Development of service class, sizing, and platform strategies for different business and database workloads
- Creation of architecture and action recommendations for cost optimization and modernization of storage and database platforms
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a Storage Architect, SAN Architect, or Infrastructure Architect in enterprise environments
- Profound knowledge of enterprise block storage, SAN architectures, Fibre Channel, and storage tiering concepts
- Demonstrable expertise with Oracle Exadata, database platforms, and license and support models
- Very good knowledge of HA, backup, recovery, and replication architectures
- Experience in communicating with management and executive stakeholders, ideally in a regulated financial environment
- Fluent German language skills are mandatory
