Senior Spatial Economist (interim)

Project overview

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on current and to be established land development projects
• Preparing, testing, and updating financial feasibility analyses for area developments
• Providing advice on cost recovery for private initiatives and for facilities that transcend multiple areas
• Advising on subsidy possibilities for spatial developments
• Advising on land prices for purchase and sale, lease, and other forms of issuance
• Identifying, assessing, and managing risks within projects
• Compiling financial reports per project and providing input for the planning and control cycle
• Revising policy documents such as the Land Policy Note, Cost Recovery Note, and Land Prices Note
• Participating in project groups and negotiations on contracts for land transactions and cooperation agreements
• Acting as a subject matter expert for project leaders, program managers, and the board
• Guiding and coaching less experienced colleagues
• Completed education in spatial planning, spatial development, real estate, economics, public administration, or a comparable field at a minimum HBO bachelor level
• Work experience as a spatial economist within a municipal organization
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the role of spatial economist
• Experience with preparing and maintaining land development projects
• Experience in the field of area development and cost recovery
• Available on average 16 hours per week for the duration of the assignment
