Senior Test Automation Consultant/Expert – CI/CD & Test Automation Frameworks

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Consultant/Expert to support our client. This full-time position is primarily remote with occasional on-site appointments and runs until June 2027.

In this role, you will advise development, testing, and operations teams on optimizing their test automation landscapes. Your tasks include analyzing existing frameworks, tools, and processes for efficiency and scalability. You will support the selection and introduction of suitable test automation solutions and develop technical target images and reference architectures.

Another focus is on the conception and optimization of continuous testing approaches and their integration into existing build, test, and deployment processes. You will evaluate system architectures for their suitability for sustainable test automation, identify optimization potential, and derive concrete recommendations for action. You will also create architecture, tool, and implementation concepts and support teams in introducing new frameworks and best practices.

For this position, you need at least 5 years of experience in the conception and further development of test automation solutions, as well as practical experience with common frameworks such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress. At least 5 years of experience in the conception of automated integration, system, or end-to-end tests, as well as at least 3 years of experience with CI/CD processes, are also required. The ISTQB Foundation Level certification is mandatory.
