Job description
Seeking a Senior Traffic Advisor to handle traffic-related issues, guide traffic measures, and act as a key point of contact for various stakeholders.
Project overview
The assignment includes advising on traffic engineering issues and guiding traffic measures in a senior role.
Profile of the suited interim professional:
- Act as the first point of contact for traffic-related questions, notifications, and complaints
- Act as a substantive sparring partner for colleagues
- Draft and review traffic decisions
- Process applications for exemptions and parking permits
- Advise on traffic and traffic safety in projects for residents
- Review and advise on traffic plans
- Monitor and improve the quality of traffic engineering products, advice, and processes
- Maintain contact with residents, administrators, police, and emergency services
- Inspect traffic situations on-site, such as signage, markings, and wayfinding
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Traffic Engineering, Mobility, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in traffic and mobility, preferably within a municipal organization
- Familiarity with laws and regulations regarding traffic, traffic safety, and traffic decisions
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Coaching skills and ability to act as a sounding board
- Quality-oriented attitude with an eye for process improvement and uniformity
- Political and organizational sensitivity
