PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer

Project overview

For our client in industrial automation, we are looking for PLC programmers and automation engineers for the programming, optimization, and commissioning of machines and plants, as well as the modernization of existing control systems.

Responsibilities

Development and adaptation of PLC programs for machines and industrial plants. Creation and expansion of user interfaces and visualizations. Implementation of functional descriptions and process controls. Integration of sensors, actuators, drive technology, and communication interfaces. Execution of software tests and support for FAT and SAT. Commissioning, error analysis, and optimization at the customer's site. Creation and maintenance of software and functional documentation.

Requirements

University degree or technical training in automation technology, electrical engineering, or comparable. Several years of experience in PLC programming and plant commissioning. Profound knowledge of Siemens SIMATIC S7 / TIA Portal; alternatively, corresponding focus in Beckhoff TwinCAT or CODESYS. Experience with HMI systems, for example WinCC. Knowledge of industrial communication systems, for example PROFINET or EtherCAT. Experience with drive technology and structured testing procedures. Good German language skills and project-dependent willingness to travel.
