System Engineer needed to contribute to the development of a fingerprint capture terminal, focusing on hardware and software refinement, qualification, and industrialization. The role involves technical coordination, system requirements management, and testing.
Project overview
Within an R&D team specializing in biometric systems, the System Engineer will contribute to the development of a fingerprint capture terminal. As the project is already underway and the design advanced, their involvement will primarily focus on hardware and software refinement, product qualification, and industrialization. They will also provide occasional support for the operational maintenance of existing products, particularly for their support and the management of their evolutions.
In liaison with the electronics, mechanics, embedded software, and validation teams, they will ensure technical monitoring of work and participate in meetings and design reviews. They will manage system requirements, plan and carry out functional and environmental qualification tests, analyze the impacts of evolutions, and contribute to system documentation. They will also participate in technical coordination with product stakeholders, milestone preparation, and the monitoring of risks and technical issues.
Profile Sought
Proven experience in systems engineering and mastery of requirements management.
Experience with embedded systems and the V-model.
Ability to plan and carry out product tests and coordinate multidisciplinary teams: mechanics, electronics, embedded software, and validation.
Professional English, to work with international teams.
Knowledge of imaging systems, industrial constraints, and certification is an asset.
Rigor, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
