Project overview

You are independently responsible for the creation of agreed products and results. Within the established frameworks and available management information, you independently determine how to execute the assignment.

For the realization of the results, you coordinate with involved employees and disciplines within the municipalities where necessary. This coordination is aimed at obtaining information, monitoring integrity, and achieving the agreed results. You are not part of the regular line organization and are not responsible for the structural daily road management.

Wijdemeren and Hilversum will form one municipality from January 1, 2027. By joining forces, the municipalities can not only continue to guarantee but also improve the service to their 120,000 residents and almost 20,000 businesses. This makes them stronger in tackling important challenges, such as housing, nature, economy, and accessibility. Hilversum and Wijdemeren share a history and have been connected for a long time. As of 2026, the administrative merger will be a fact. From that moment on, the municipality of Hilversum will carry out the services to the residents.

The work for Wijdemeren will still be carried out under the flag of the municipality of Wijdemeren in 2026, but managed from Hilversum.

The merger offers new energy to strengthen that connection. The villages of Ankeveen, Breukeleveen, ‘s-Graveland, Kortenhoef, Loosdrecht, and Nederhorst den Berg will retain their own character and form a valuable addition to the more urban character of Hilversum. From peat and water to sand and heath: this diversity makes Hilversum an attractive place to live, work, and recreate.

• You draw up and coordinate the maintenance and inspection plan for pavements.
• You coordinate the maintenance and replacement plan with colleagues and other disciplines.
• You work with colleagues who supervise outsourced maintenance work.
• You consult with urban programming about replacement investments.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience as an executor or manager in civil engineering in the last 8 years
• Demonstrable completed education at least MBO level 4
• Demonstrable work experience in road construction as an executor or manager
• You have a demonstrable completed education at least HBO bachelor level
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the last 10 years in sewer and road construction as an executor, supervisor, and/or manager
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a manager in drawing up and coordinating the maintenance and inspection plan for paved areas
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable work experience in the last 5 years with contract management for road maintenance contracts such as block paving and asphalt
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable work experience in the last 5 years with management processes related to management information
