TOPdesk Specialist & KCS / Knowledge Management

Project overview

For a company in the industrial sector, which we are already supporting as part of an ongoing consulting mandate, we are looking for an experienced TOPdesk specialist to provide supplementary technical support.

As part of our collaboration, we are further developing various topics related to IT Service Management, Change Management, and Knowledge Management together with the client.

For the specific technical design within TOPdesk, we want to supplement our existing project team with specialized expertise.

We are explicitly looking for someone who knows the possibilities and limitations of the TOPdesk platform from practical experience and can work with internal stakeholders to develop suitable configuration solutions.

The focus is on pragmatic, standard-compliant technical implementation – not comprehensive process or organizational consulting.

Implementation that is as close to standard as possible is particularly important. Existing functionalities should be used sensibly without overloading TOPdesk with unnecessary custom solutions or causing later problems with reporting and other processes.

Responsibilities

• Technical consultation on the configuration options of TOPdesk in the areas of Change Management and Knowledge Management
• Support in mapping change types, workflows, status models, and templates
• Consultation on the technical implementation of KCS-oriented knowledge processes
• Examination of the technical feasibility of specific requirements and use cases
• Recommendations for a TOPdesk configuration that is as standard-compliant and maintainable as possible
• If necessary, joint configuration of selected functions with internal TOPdesk responsible persons
• Consideration of technical dependencies, especially regarding reporting and existing TOPdesk structures
