Consultant MFT / Integration of Flows & Application Production (M/F)

Project overview

The Context

On behalf of a major player in the distribution of spare parts and services for automotive professionals, we are looking for an experienced consultant in data flow integration and application production to strengthen a team responsible for the design, evolution, and operation of data exchanges between information system applications and external partners.

You will be involved in both technical and operational matters, with a real role as a reference in the design, reliability, and operational maintenance of exchange flows.

Good command of MFT environments is expected. Knowledge of GoAnywhere MFT is an asset, but not essential: support for getting started with the tool is planned.

Beyond the job title and years of experience, we are primarily looking for someone who can take a step back, work autonomously, secure sensitive flows, and provide concrete solutions to production issues.

• Gathering and analyzing data exchange needs, challenging requests, and proposing suitable technical solutions.
• Designing, developing, and evolving robust, secure, and maintainable MFT workflows.
• Configuring and orchestrating exchanges via SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, and REST APIs, integrating necessary transformations and processing sequences.
• Developing and integrating PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts, as well as SQL queries and JSON/XML data processing.
• Ensuring the quality of deliverables: unit and end-to-end testing, flow validation, and support for production deployments.
• Diagnosing complex malfunctions using logs, application traces, and network data, and identifying root causes.
• Implementing reliability mechanisms: error management, incident recovery, duplicate prevention, monitoring, and traceability.
• Ensuring the security of exchanges: TLS certificates, SSH keys, service accounts, and secret management.
• Maintaining technical documentation and contributing to the continuous improvement of integration practices and processes.
• Application Production and Operational Maintenance – 20%
• Handling incidents, service requests, and changes, from qualification to resolution.
• Performing root cause analyses and proposing corrective and preventive actions.
• Integrating and monitoring processes in the scheduler.
• Automating recurring tasks to reduce manual interventions and secure operations.
• Writing and maintaining operational procedures, technical instructions, and recovery scenarios.
• Contributing to the improvement of the availability, performance, and robustness of production flows.
• Integration and Scripting: ability to read, understand, and evolve existing code or scripts, and to communicate effectively with development teams. In-depth expertise in Java or PHP is not expected.
• Scripting: good command of at least one language among PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• SQL: mastery of queries, joins, and ability to analyze and process data.
• APIs and Data Formats: good understanding of REST/HTTP APIs and JSON/XML formats.
• Protocols and Infrastructures: good knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, SSH, TLS protocols, as well as network fundamentals (DNS, TCP ports).
• Systems: operational experience with Windows Server and/or Linux.
• Production Culture: proficiency in diagnosing from logs, methodical incident management, root cause analysis, and technical documentation.
• Autonomy: ability to analyze a need, propose a solution, implement it, and ensure its follow-up in production.
• Experience with an MFT platform: GoAnywhere, Axway, IBM Sterling, MOVEit…
• Knowledge of a scheduler: OpCon, Control-M, Dollar Universe, AutoSys…
• Use of monitoring tools such as Centreon.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Git, ETLs, or middleware solutions.
• Experience in critical application environments or with numerous inter-application and partner exchanges.
• Experienced Integration Engineer.
• Application Production Engineer with a strong focus on scripting and automation.
• MFT Consultant or Engineer.
• DevOps Engineer focused on integration and data exchange.
