DevOps Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer for a digitalization project in the area of cloud infrastructure and application deployment. The position is possible remotely or on-site and runs as a full-time project throughout the year 2027.

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical operation, monitoring, and optimization of productive applications and their infrastructure in the AWS Cloud. You will independently perform error analyses, resolve disruptions, and implement security measures such as patch and update processes.

Responsibilities

We expect at least 3 years of experience in AWS cloud administration, Kubernetes operation, and Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform or OpenTofu. Practical knowledge in the operational management of productive cloud applications, including monitoring and incident management, is required. Security aspects and best practices should be familiar to you.

• Consulting and further development of automated deployment processes with Terraform/OpenTofu
• Configuration and optimization of Kubernetes clusters and their infrastructure
• Deployment and management of containerized applications using Docker, Helm, and Flux
• Analysis and resolution of deployment and release problems
• Management of AWS IAM roles, permissions, and encryption mechanisms
• Configuration of PostgreSQL databases based on AWS RDS
• Setup and further development of monitoring and logging solutions
• Management and optimization of the Kafka infrastructure
