CURRENT SITUATION

PROJECT GOAL

The goal of the project is the stable and secure operation of the existing IT infrastructure during the modernization initiative. This includes reliable infrastructure and endpoint operation, regulated security processes, functioning monitoring and recovery mechanisms, as well as traceable documentation and handover of the responsible topics.

• Duration: 10 months
• Mode: 3-4 days/week Remote + 1-2 days/week Onsite in Frankfurt am Main
• The internal IT landscape includes server, endpoint, and security infrastructures.
• The environment is based on Windows and Linux servers within a VMware and Dell EMC VxRail platform, among others.
• A strategic modernization initiative is being implemented in parallel with ongoing operations.
• Additional support is needed to ensure daily operations.

Responsibilities

Requirements Profile

• Operation and stabilization of the Windows and Linux server landscape on VMware and Dell EMC VxRail platforms
• Execution of software distribution, patch management, and operating system hardening for over 1,000 endpoints
• Support of endpoint security for Windows and macOS systems
• 2nd level processing of security incidents
• Processing of incidents, service requests, and customer's joiner, mover, and leaver processes
• Administration of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• Operation and optimization of monitoring and alerting processes within the customer landscape
• Support of backup, recovery, firewall, and VPN operations
• Execution of regular maintenance activities
• Creation and maintenance of documentation and structured knowledge transfer

Requirements

SHOULD HAVE

• 5+ years of experience in IT system administration
• Experience with Azure and AWS
• Experience with Windows Server
• Experience in client management
• Experience with Active Directory
• Experience in software deployment and patch management on enterprise platforms
• Experience in Security Operations (Endpoint Agents, Firewalls, Incident Triage)
• Structured error analysis and problem-solving skills
• Very good written and oral communication skills
• Fluent German and English
• Experience with agile working methods or DevOps models
