Junior Procurement Operations & Data Analyst

For an internationally active company in the insurance sector, we are looking for a dedicated individual in the Zurich area to support the local Procurement team.

The position combines operational procurement/P2P with data analysis, reporting, and contract support. We are not looking for a purely strategic purchasing role, but rather a hands-on individual who reliably takes on operational tasks while also enjoying analyzing and preparing data for management.

Responsibilities

• Support in the operational Procure-to-Pay process, from purchase requests and orders to invoice and release topics
• Maintenance and quality assurance of supplier, contract, and procurement data
• Creation of analyses, reports, KPIs, and management overviews
• Evaluation and structuring of large datasets using Excel and other reporting tools
• Support with contract overviews, terms, termination dates, and administrative contract topics
• Collaboration with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and other internal stakeholders
• Support with supplier onboarding and vendor management topics
• Identification of data quality and process issues, and support in their improvement
• Creation of ad-hoc analyses for Procurement Management and internal stakeholders

Requirements

Framework Conditions

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with local Procurement Management and to take direct responsibility in both operational day-to-day business and in reporting, data, and improvement topics.

• First to several years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, P2P, Supply Chain, Finance Operations, or a comparable environment
• Good knowledge of operational procurement and P2P processes
• Very good Excel skills, especially in handling large datasets, pivot tables, formulas, and evaluations
• Experience with procurement or ERP systems such as SAP, SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, or comparable solutions is an advantage
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting/dashboard solutions is an advantage
• Analytical, structured, and at the same time pragmatic way of working
• Enjoyment of a mix of operational tasks and data analysis
• Very good German and English skills
• Experience in an international or regulated environment is a plus
• Residence or work permit in Switzerland required
• Location: Zurich area
• Workload: 80-100%
• Hybrid model with regular on-site presence
• Start: short notice/by arrangement
