Power BI Developer (On-Prem, SSAS)

Project overview

Contract assignment in Stockholm for Finansinspektionen (Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority) seeking an experienced Power BI developer to build user-friendly Power BI reports supporting financial supervision. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Power BI on-prem solutions and SSAS on-prem, deep SQL skills, dimensional modeling knowledge, and experience in large-scale/critical BI data flows.

Swedish fluency, prior work in a government agency, Git usage, and willingness to pass security clearance are required; experience with report package scheduling and (ideally) UX-focused report design and insurance-related financial reporting are valued.

Responsibilities

• For our client Finansinspektionen (FI), we are looking for a Power BI developer.
• FI is an authority that supervises companies in the financial market. FI's mission is to contribute to the efficient and stable functioning of the financial system. FI shall also work for good consumer protection in the financial sector.
• The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority needs the support of an experienced PowerBI developer to develop PowerBI reports as a basis for financial supervision. The consultant needs to have good knowledge of and experience with PowerBI on prem and SSAS on prem.
• At least 10 years of experience as a developer in analysis/BI projects that handle large amounts of data and critical data flows
• At least 3 years of experience in PBI development
• At least one reference assignment with PBI development for financial supervision
• At least 5 years of experience in SSAS development
• At least 10 years of experience in SQL development
• Good understanding of dimensional modeling
• Documented experience in building user-friendly reports
• Will speak fluent Swedish in speech and writing
• Must have an academic education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.

• Academic education in IT or equivalent knowledge
• Experience working at a government agency (documented)
• Eligible for and agrees to security clearance
• Reference assignment: Power BI development for financial supervision
