Release and Environment Manager

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Release and Environment Manager (m/f/d) for an exciting project at a location in Germany. The position is designed with a very flexible 90% remote share and starts in November 2026 with a minimum duration of two months.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating releases and IT environments according to the project roadmap. You will work closely with IT operations and operational teams to coordinate installations, tests, and migrations. Your core tasks include monitoring and reporting on release status, progress, risks, and deviations, as well as managing and documenting environment configurations.

You will coordinate the provision of new environments, support with technical disruptions, and manage changes, incidents, and problem management in collaboration with IT support and operations. Furthermore, you will monitor the availability, performance, and up-to-dateness of the environments and coordinate backups and monitoring activities.

We expect strong organizational skills, experience in coordinating various teams, and a structured, independent way of working. Good communication skills and confident stakeholder management are essential. You should have experience in release and environment management, change and incident management, as well as in documentation and reporting. Understanding of IT operations processes and security and compliance requirements is necessary.
