Develop and implement commodity strategies for mechanical components and metal structures, focusing on strategic procurement of direct materials like skids, pumps, and castings/forgings.
Project overview
Development and implementation of commodity strategies for mechanical components and metal structures
Strategic procurement of direct materials, especially skids, pumps, STU as well as cast and forged parts
Analysis and evaluation of existing supplier structures as well as identification of new procurement sources
Conducting supplier evaluations and supplier presentations
Independent management of supplier communication and strategic development of supplier relationships
Requirements
Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally 6-8 years
Sound experience in the strategic procurement of mechanical components, metal structures, cast and forged parts
Experience with commodity strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations
Technical understanding of components such as skids, pumps, and other mechanical assemblies
Confident demeanor in communication with suppliers as well as strong negotiation skills
Good English skills for international supplier communication
Convincing communication skills - "someone who can sell themselves well
