Senior Roads Asset Manager

Project overview

The assignment concerns temporary replacement within the Management team, focused on strategic management of the municipal road infrastructure.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Drafting and updating strategic management plans for roads, civil structures, and public lighting
• Developing multi-year maintenance and investment programs
• Advising on replacement, area development, and lifespan extension of capital assets
• Acting as the official client for civil engineering projects, including formulating project assignments and initial notes
• Monitoring the scope, quality, planning, and budget of projects
• Advising on prioritizing investments within the multi-year programming
• Contributing to the Planning & Control cycle
• Drafting council and executive board proposals and administrative memos
• Supporting management, the portfolio holder, and the executive board with advice on strategic themes related to the Roads asset
• Coordinating with other assets within the public space
• Contributing to the further development of asset management processes and management frameworks
• Completed education at a minimum HBO bachelor's level in civil engineering, asset management, technical public administration, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of work experience as an asset manager, road manager, or similar role within a municipal organization
• Experience in creating management plans, multi-year maintenance programs, and investment plans
• Experience in advising the executive board and navigating municipal decision-making processes, such as executive and council proposals
• Experience in translating management tasks into financial frameworks such as budgets and investment credits
• Strong strategic thinking ability and administrative sensitivity
• Excellent written and advisory skills
